This Friday marks exactly a month to the day since I moved to Scotland, and although it was awfully hard at the start I have to say it's flown in.
I've met some of the best people ever and I may have found my new Scottish Bella Malone photographer which means I can start posting regularly again!

In the spirit of my fashion uni I decided to shot this clueless style outfit as my first post in Scotland.
I'm delighted with the pictures and I loved this outfit, even if I was a little over dressed for my lecture.
Huge thanks to my fellow fashion student Martin-John Turner for his amazing photography & patience.

I'll now be posting every Tuesday,Thursday and Sunday,so see ya Thursday!

Must see fashion films

Now that i'm a student I have a great deal of time on my hands, and there's no better way to spend your time than to watch Netflix. I've recently found 7 amazing fashion films and documentaries that i'd highly recommend to you all. They are as follows-

Dior And I.

Dior and I brings the viewer inside the storied world of the Christian Dior fashion house with a privileged, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection as its new artistic director—a true labor of love created by a dedicated group of collaborators. Melding the everyday, pressure- filled components of fashion with mysterious echoes from the iconic brand’s past, the film is also a colorful homage to the seamstresses who serve Simons’ vision.

The September Issue.

Each August, fashion mavens look forward to getting their hands on a copy of Vogue magazine's autumn issue. Filmmaker R.J. Cutler gains unprecedented access to the inner workings of this fashion bible, as legendary Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and her staff carry out the massive preparations necessary to produce the issue.

Advanced Style.

Advanced Style examines the lives of seven unique New Yorkers whose eclectic personal style and vital spirit have guided their approach to aging. Based on Ari Seth Cohen’s famed blog of the same name, this film paints intimate and colorful portraits of independent, stylish women aged 62 to 95 who are challenging conventional ideas about beauty, aging, and Western’s culture’s increasing obsession with youth.

Chasing Beauty.

Each year thousands of young girls arrive in New York, Paris, Milan and Los Angeles with the dream of becoming a model but how many actually realize this dream? How long does it last?
Chasing beauty is a collection of intertwined stories about models pursuits of success in the fashion and beauty business and the collateral damage that sometimes occurs. The modeling world can be both treacherous and rewarding. For many who are willing to pursue this glamorous business there is a significant price to pay.

Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's.

A documentary on the world famous Manhattan department store with interviews from an array of fashion designers, style icons, and celebrities.

Bill Cunningham - New York

The “Bill” in question is 80+ New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. For decades, this Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirĂ©es for the Times Style section in his columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours.” Documenting uptown fixtures (Anna Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor, David Rockefeller—who all appear in the film out of their love for Bill), downtown eccentrics and everyone in between, Cunningham’s enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and individual flair. In turn, Bill Cunningham New York is a delicate, funny and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist whose only wealth is his own humanity and unassuming grace.

The Director.

This intimate portrait of Gucci's Creative Director, Frida Giannini, spends 18 months inside the walls of the iconic Italian fashion house, exploring the intricacies of a quietly brilliant woman whose evolution as the creative force behind the brand is as nuanced as the storied company itself.

The uni edit

As many of you know I've just recently moved to Scotland to study fashion communication at Heriot watt university.
Saying goodbye to my friends family and boyfriend was no easy thing but it all seemed to go so fast that I didn't even have time to think about it,
I moved here on Saturday and to be honest it all happened so quickly that when I arrived I felt super lost and anxious. We unpacked everything and my lovely mama flew home to leave me to my new grown up life.
I've had about 3 serious breakdowns,11 phone calls to my mum/boyfriend and one seriously bad hangover.

Freshers week is in full force at the moment so i'm just posting to let you know that it could be a while till I have regular posts again, though I may have found my new blog photographer (thank god).
I need some sleep and more food so i'll sign off for today-

Wish me luck!
