Back to my roots // with Charlie Miller

The time has come for me to return to my roots as a natural brunette. It's been nearly a month since the amazing Charlie Miller literally transformed me into the most perfect shade of blonde I could've ever imagined. I won't lie, I've loved being blonde so so much and I was genuinely really nervous about going back to brown but I thought it was about time for a change so I bit the bullet and went to see my stylist of 11 months Hayley at the South St Andrew Street. Hayley has been looking after my hair since I started working with Charlie Miller and I honestly look forward to my appointments so much just so I can catch up with her, as you can probably see in the images above. She's an expert in hair, and when she was discussing how to take me back to brown with another stylist it genuinely sounded like she was talking in code!

The whole process took around 2 hours, and two gins later I was suddenly a brunette again. Hayley transformed my hair through different stages of dying and really took her time getting my shade just right. Hayley blowdried and curled my hair to finish my blonde to brunette transformation and I felt so much more mature instantly. With one year of uni left I've decided that I'm going to be a very productive, sort my finances out and kill it when it comes to uni (touch wood).

Latitude festival 2018

I do apologise for the severe lack of colourful images of me in front of a Ferris wheel with braids and glitter in my hair, the truth is these are the only images I have from our weekend at latitude festival and we were simply having too much fun to take more.

"Content creation" may have been the only reason we were at the festival in the first place but we couldn't waste anytime not enjoying every aspect of the festival. I can't claim to be a festival expert, I've been to a few day festivals, and two overnight proper ones but Latitude was honestly such an amazing festival we genuinely didn't want to leave. The line up was spectacular, with huge acts like Alt J, The Killers, The Vaccines and Solange, and comedy acts of the likes of Harry Hill, Dylan Moran and David O Doherty. Thats not all, the festival was huge and had a crazy amount of choice when it came to food, fashion and beauty stalls. It even had free gondola rides around the festival, as well as lake swimming and free showers (to our delight). We were allowed to bring a reasonable amount of alcohol in with us and when in the arena the booze wasn't too pricy and you could save £2 per drink by recycling your cup.

We also were lucky enough to be taken backstage with Aussie and we got to see Jeremy Loops with the best seats in the house!
We met some amazing people, of all ages and from all over the UK and we're still saying to each other that we wish we were back there.
Till next year Latitude!

Lewis and I are heading off to Latitude festival this weekend!! We are so so buzzing and can't wait to see Alt-J, The Vaccines, The killers and Jessie Ware to name a few! The festival is honestly jam packed with things to do and has a huge comedy line up including Harry Hill, David O Doherty and Dylan Moran. There is a huge range of activities going on as well as tonnes of different stages including a music and film arena , the BBC music stage, The sunrise arena and the waterfront stage.
We plan on soaking up the rays while enjoying some amazing music, comedy, theatre and poetry. The festival also has a lake we can have a dip in if the weather keeps up which it's expected to.

It feels like years since my last post but I've been so busy the last few weeks. I started working a second job at a resturarnt and although it was fab working two jobs meant I was working all time so I had hardly any time to actually enjoy summer. Stupid things like not having having time to cook properly or re-paint my chipped nails. However I got some amazing news recently in the form of an email from Oh Polly asking would I be interested in a PR and Collabs internship which of course I jumped at, I had an interview a few days later and found out while I was in Belfast that I got it!

It was the perfect way to end the most amazing trip at home for my mums birthday. I also got a one day a weeks social media job for a boutique in Edinburgh so it's all change at the moment but it's all good change and I'm so happy at the moment.
