How To Keep Calm While Travelling

Travelling is a hugely exciting way to spend your time; in fact, it’s one of the best uses of time that there are. But that is not to say that every moment of it is good. In fact, there is much about travelling which can actually cause a great deal of emotional and psychological upheaval, and it is wise to be prepared for these if you are to enjoy your travels as much as you would hope. The truth is that you need to learn how to keep calm while travelling, even when things go wrong or you are having to endure a long journey, or whatever it might be that would otherwise disturb your peace. Let’s take a look at what you can do to ensure that you are keeping calm while travelling the world.

Take It Slow

First up, it’s important to remember that you don’t really need to rush anything. Sure, there might be times when you have to run for a train, but in general you can just travel at your own pace and speed. So should you, as by going at the pace that you enjoy you will be doing much to keep the stress which you might otherwise experience at bay. So make sure that you are doing what you can to keep your pace as slow as necessary. You will find that this often stops any great stress from arising in the first place, which is something that is going to really make a difference to how much you can enjoy the travels along the way. Taking it at your own pace is probably all you really need to do to avoid being stressed.

Consider Medicine

There might be occasions for many people when it is necessary to take some medicine with you which you can rely on when you are getting particularly worried, anxious or stressed. For some people, this might be a specifically prescribed medication which you are on, in which case you should absolutely make sure that you take that with you. But it might also be that you want to try and use a few over-the-counter options which you feel might help you should you become particularly stressed. That could be anything from ibuprofen, the anti-inflammatory effects of which are shown to help with stress, to some CBD oil, which is growing in popularity as a way of managing stress too. These are likely to help, so consider taking them with you.

Get Your Sleep

Although at times it can be challenging to get enough sleep when you are travelling, the truth is that you need to try and prioritize this if you are to keep your mind as calm as possible. Whenever you are staying in a good hotel room, make the most of it and get to bed early in order to sleep well. If you can also take naps here and there while on public transport, then that is something that is going to help hugely too, so that should be considered. You’ll find it really helps.

Tanqueray Gin Head vs Heart Experience at Latitude Festival

I was so very incredibly lucky to be taken to Latitude festival last weekend with Tanqueray Gin to experience their Head Vs Heart challenge. The House of Tanqueray at No. TEN is a luxurious and contemporary bar that's popping up at some of the most exciting festivals in the UK this summer.

Adele and I booked in for the challenge with Tanqueray Jack himself and set off on the sensory experience. We were given a band to put around our head which would act as a brain monitor to see what smells our brains reacted to the most - crazy right?

Jack took us through the four flavours while the sensor analysed our brain activity to give us a report on what our personalised cocktail would be. Our results showed that I reacted the most to camomile and Adele Coriander so the barman made me a Chamomile Cobbler & Adele a a Fresh Gimlet and we enjoyed them in the gorgeous Suffolk sunshine.

A huge thank you for Tanqueray for having us we really did have the best weekend with the best gin out there!

Content from a recent exciting collaboration with Ciroc vodka around their new Summer Watermelon  flavour! A cooling spin on the original, CĂ®roc have brought out their eighth flavour, Summer Watermelon. Five times distilled from French grapes in Southern France for an elegant, smooth mouthfeel, the vodka is juicy and fresh on the nose and sweet on the palate. I enjoyed it with the girls the other night along with some actual watermelon left over from the shoot!

Happy Wednesday all!
Wonderhouse and Rabble kindly invited me along to enjoy a meal at Rabble to celebrate the launch of their Ciroc Cafe garden pop up this summer. I had only ever been for drinks in Rabble so it was really nice to have the dining experience in their gorgeous restaurant area (which makes you feel like you're actually outside/in a secret garden. The boss lady Gill and I had such a lovely time. I had the soup to start and Gill went for the crispy halloumi salad. For mains I went for the fish and chips and Gill opted for the Orkney steak burger - both were amazing!

We were treated to Rabbles famous Expresso Martinis. We both loved the 'Vogue' which has a Rabble twist on the classic Expresso Martini with Ciroc vanilla, Kahula coffee liqueur, expresso and vanilla sugar.

Thanks so much to Rabble & Wonderhouse for having us!
